Hi, folks new on here althought been around modefied motors as long as i can remember.
Question: what x member do you use for a cossie in my 1969 mk1 capri. does bulkhead/tunnel need enlarging (looks like it will)
Also another thought im playin with has anyone fitted a 24v Cossie in a mk1 , info would be gratefully recieved, had a 2.9 in me 66 Mk1 Tina reg(GHT930D ) i put in auto tunnel mk1, fitted to chassis rails. im pretty well known in mk1 owners club modefied tina ran discs alround 2.8inj legs adj track con /arms,escort x member, cossie 7x15 alloys ,etc.
Just bought the capri mk1 1969 of e-bay really good original shell, inner wings never welded floor /boot perfect, 53k from new.
Have recently built and sadly due to split with wife sold my 1955, HUSKY CCSE ,Challenge tube chassised 355ci sbc, tubbed sectioned /stretched in steel, over 3000hrs in here will be finished soon (well gutted).
Any one want to see pics im no good at it so tell me where to send pics if anyone interested. e.mail is easier for me.
Also just like to say exellent site amazin cars really knowledgable people.

No probs

Mine was an auto to start with ..Bigger tunnel..no bulkhead mods:dance: used 2.8 engine mounts and crossmember as running pas,3.0 litre will work if you are not bothered with pas, running type9 2.8 5spd bolted straight in no mods really just needed to add a bit for gear stick but nicked that from the same rotten 2.8.
Suspension and brakes well thats a wierd one at the rear got Some GAZ shocks made, theyre a bit shorter as running decambered 2.8 singles..Up front we thought they were 2.8 legs:confused: but we think they may be RS3100:dunno: as theyve got vented discs but theyre not 2.8 cos theyve got the wierd hub, theyre wedged thick insert Billies,so we will ponder that a while.

Am considering the Caprisport conversion for front and rear discs but not sure at mo.. Unless some one can suggest something else...

Any other info just ask..:thumb:
