I wonder how the handicap system will work next year Graham. I see its all official now, and announced on the MidlandSpeed home page.

I'm at risk of redundancy at the moment, and with everything else going on, most likely wont be out in 2007. Unless I can find a mysterious benefactor of course. 8-)

BTW Keith Lay ended up banned from his own Seven Oaks forum. Thought he'd gone a bit quiet 8-)

Bad news about next year .... Double drive perhaps with someone rich ???

And i'm so Shocked :clint: Poor old Fal (Keith) being banned ... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

His comment on here about ...
" we (is that the Royal We?) don't need another championship, why dont you support the championships that are allready established"

and that was after Sevenoaks had 2 cars at North Weald ...

Simple answer... we don't all have BDA's... so cant compete in the established championships without spending £25k...

Roll on next year, when a bog standard 105E Anglia is competing against an all singing and dancing Cossied powered car ... and both have an equal chance of WINNING

Well its all going quiet for me at work too & I've been so fed up it got to the point where I just had to take a month off voluntary & unpaid. Couldn't bare going to work to do nothing all day when I've got all these projects sitting at home waiting to get done. Feeling a bit happier now I've done something constructive on the new Escort:dance: , but my pockets are emptying of money rapidly with nothing coming in.:violin: Can't have everything I suppose.

Hope you get sorted if you get made redundant. Would hate to think you won't be there in 2007 for some racing. It's looking like it's going to be a good season with the new Ford class.

As to handicap system. I understand it will be along the lines of the pre 75 handicap classes to start with, with some fine tuning to be expected as we all get a feel for the times & the novices get some experience. Should be a great leveller. I like the idea of someone with a low powered car who is a novice being potentially able to beat an experienced competitor in a fast one. Adds to the interest & rewards for everyone I guess.

Keith Lay been banned Eh. Seems odd that a guy no-one's met wants to stop us all having some fun by suggesting there is no need for the Old Fords class. Still, we just have to brush his comments aside & get on with it.:door:

I'm being forced out due to an internal reorganisation. No one will give me a straight answer. I've a few external possibilities lined up though, but none pay as much as the present job, and I'd lose the comp.car too. Its the continuity that counts.

Not to worry though, my 18month old keeps me smiling, and the XR2 is in the garage under a dust cover, so I've plenty to keep me motivated.

Phew, a new job at work came through. And its another grade higher (promotion) so I keep the Mondy, but I have to move down south, but there is a relocation package, so its all go in the next few months. Anyone know of any nice places to live 80 miles away from Crawley, M40 or M4 areas? I'll be commuting to Crawley everyday. Cant stand the place, so I'll live as far away as I dare commute.
