Sent my form off today, used to do some sprinting years ago, double driving a 1300cc Mod Prod Sylva Leader with my brother and then 6 or so years ago in DVY at places such as Wethersfield and Longcross, and I've still got plenty of non-rally legal slicks to use so I thought I'd have a go at this championship :thumb:
I'll be out in FLY, hopefully with the N/A Cosworth back in, entered in the 2000cc Mod Prod class, as I've always run that engine in that class on sprints without any complaints
Hopefully I'll be out at Curborough in April, I've been there a few times before but never in a Mk2! Never done much on the hills either so that should be fun!
See you all there

Be good to see you out there Gavin :thumb:
Hi Gavin,
I think you did Millbrook stages when I was competing there, I recognise the car in your photo.
Hope to see you out. I will probably be doing Croft as the first one. What are your plans for events?
Graham
Hi Graham,
Yes that was me at Millbrook, I remember speaking to you and Cath while queueing up for scrutineering, think you beat me in the end!
As for events, I thought I'd start at Curborough as it's quite a 'simple' track, then places like Shelsley Walsh and Loton Park aren't too many hours drive and obviously the 2 at Pembrey are closest to me. See how things go really.
The car just needs a general tidy up and I'll see if my 8" slicks will fit under the standard arches pray:

Just sorting all the paper work out, I`ve sent off to get my race licence and joined the Westfield sports car club and I`m just filling in the Midland speed championship form and it says the fee is £25 not £35 or £30 am I doing this right?
Cheers,

Need to add a tenner to be entered into the Old Ford Sprint Championship, think it says it at the bottom :thumb:
If you just want to enter the Midland Speed Championship to score points in the normal classes the fee is £20.
If you want to enter the Midland Speed Championship to score points in the special Classic Ford class the fee is £30.
Early registrations are discounted at the above prices until the end of January, after this time both fees revert to their normal price of £25 & £35 respectively.
The extra tenner is to cover the cost of the trophies for this new class & to administer the handicap class scoring system.
