do i need to fit big tunel or can i cut the original

just wondering, i am going to fit a type 9 box to an xe engine, I have a large gearbox tunnel but its big and ugly ; has anyone altered the original tunnel and if so how do you do it, pics. please , please save me having to fit the large tunnel, cheers peo:help:

Ring Darran at escort-tec as he sells the bigger automatic escort tunnels and carpets to match for a nice factory look . I've got a type 9 in my car and it fits in the standard 1100 tunnel ok , i've just hammered it a touch where the edges of the bell housing are to enable fitting the gearbox onto the engine a bit easier . :thumb:
