Fitting a MBE 967iD to vauxhall xe with Blackbird Carbs from MR BOGG,need to know if it will run OK without throttle position sensor and also four wires from MBE Grey,Green.Purple and White need to know there connections if poss.Cheers Ricardo1.

Not sure about the tps but theres a lot of information about wiring the mbe there.
Heres some diagrams to help you along. :thumb:

SBD 967I Series ECU Wiring Insructions

Pin 1Purple or Orange
Perm. +12V(direct to battery, Via relay)Pin 2White or RedPerm. +12V(direct to battery, Via relay)Pin 3Grey or YellowGearshift light earth triggerPin 4Green or BlueTaco (Rev counter)http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Info_sheets/Wiring_Harness/SBD%20900%20Series.gif

NOTE - 2.5mm Core wire must be attached directly onto battery +ve post. Relay Pin no. 30 - Connect directly to battery +ve post with 2.5mm core wire(see note above)
Relay Pin no. 85 - Connect to Earth
Relay Pin no. 86 - Connect to ignition switched +12V
Relay Pin no. 87 - Connect to 2 wires from interface sure seal pins 1 & 2.

Relay Pin no. 30 - Connect to ignition switched +12V
Relay Pin no. 85 - Connect to interface sure seal pin no. 3
Relay Pin no. 86 - Connect to ignition switched +12V
Relay Pin no. 87 - Connect to gear change lamp

Purple and white can be spliced together to a 12v supply.

On my loom, the instructions said thay the grey wire was for a tacho and that the orange was for a shift light, but they were the wrong way around :crazy:

Yes, you can run without a TPS
