hi guys, sorry for being so dull... but can anyone tell me want parts i need to get my 1.8 zetec to run in my dolomite.. i.e which edis, what wiring i need etc.. oh can i be really cheeky and ask for a wiring diagram??

you can run the edis in limp home mode to get the car going but you will need an ecu ie megajolt to control the timing (it drives edis) for better results. you also need the coil pack.

if you leave out the m/s conections it runs in default/limp 10deg.

Are you not getting confused with the HCS Fiesta ECS module that looks just like an edis but has a fixed curve in it like a dizzy ?

The EDIS module will definitely run a fixed 10 degrees of advance if not told otherwise. This is the limp mode referred to above.
As you say though, an ESC module adds vacuum advance to this.
