Just musing over where to go next with the cortina, thoughts are running along the line of sprinting have come into mind, What I dont know is the basic requirments,
Bearing in mind I think Modified Street class is where the car will fit,
What do I need
MSA licence, Safety Equip, Legality of the car, Dont forget, NOVICE!!!!!, its been nearly 30 years since I have done any form of going round bends,

i think all you need is a helmet, a suit, and an MOT/tax the safety equiptment is advised but not mandatory.. you also need to have the race licence, but its a matter of filling in a form and sending a cheque, no medical or anything like that... not sure about the car being MSA registered tho :thumb:

You'll need a non race national b licence (minimum) which is just a case of filling out a form and sending a cheque off.
Unless the car is fitted with a derivitive of the original engine you'll be put into the sports libre class which is basically anything goes (eg:mg magnette fitted with an ex dtm merc engine),for standard roadgoing classes the only safety equipment you have to have is a race suit and a crash helmet,once you go modified you'll need a 4 point harness and a rollcage etc.
