hi peeps,
Please, Please could some one explain how an OFAC ecu would be used in a turbo conversion on my 1.8 Zetec. Is it a standard part, that needs no writting?:confused: or does it have to be rolling roaded and programmed?:dunno: I have only just got my head round the mechanical side of the conversion, but am stuck on the ecu management!*!

Not sure what the OFAC ecu is i assume that is what you get as standard with the Zetec. Your big question is really can you rewrite the mapping ? and if so can you do it yourself or pay someone to do it ? From what i have seen on Zetecs everyone seems to go for an aftermarket ECU unless running a standard setup which makes me think you cannot rewrite it economically.

I know megasquirt has been used on zetec turbos but i assume most other after market ECU's will do it aswell. Pays ya money and takes ya choice
