Please help, im aiming to put the most suitable bellhousing onto a type 9, BUT getting confused on best option(s) available, read posts suggesting modding the std type 9 arm, needing a fulcrum pin, needing this spigot bush and that, needing a gasket, but getting more and more confused.
So please could anyone give me a definitve list, cost effective but bolt straight on. Yukspeed, SBD, A frame Engineering?? :help:
Fixing to flat type flywheel and cover, and using pinto 2.3 clutch plate.
thank you in advance
Pretty sure whichever bellhousing you use your gonna need all the above.
You'll need a fulcrum to lock and allow arm to pivot.
You'll need a spigot bush for the input shaft.
Use a gasket (or as i've been told a smear of silicone will do)
The clutch arm may need a little trimmimg to clear the hole-will post a pic tomorrow to show you mine.
They all bolt straight on though.:thumb:

Ideal, that would really help. Any joy with your cam choice? im going to wait until £££ allow for pocketed pistons.
Here the pics mate-you can see where the arms been 'shaved' a bit to clear bellhousing. I guess you could mod the bellhousing instead??

Still not sure on engine yet-mine owes me pretty much nothing now so may save up and buy one built-maybe-the motors going to be the last thing probably anyway and i can use this for mocking up etc. Dunno see how it goes.:thumb:

Those photos help greatly cheers, who did you use to supply the parts?
All over the place mate-mostly secondhand bargains on Ebay etc. Yukspeed seems to deal in most of the conversion bits and seems reasonably priced too. I was lucky as i bought all my bits a while back when they were still 'cheapish' :D.
