from the ms site.
There is a banned company (Mtechautomotive ltd) that is trading as MegaSquirt UK on EBay. Dont be fooled into thinking these are in any way linked or recommended by MegaSquirt. They are banned from buying MS's as this is the quality of their work!! (see attached pics)

Please buy from the recommended list:

Have you had it powered up or anything. If you are not sure of its quality try getting hold of a stimulator and you you should be able to test it. May give you peace of mind.:thumb:

Smiffy post up on www.msextra.com or www.msefi.com and I'm sure someone near you will help. I've helped people near me, and I've been helped out by others in aus (with ms parts).

The ms community is very helpful, although as wildo105e suggests get a stim, it will be the best money you spend! Also, don't be afraid to open the ecu up and have a look at the wiring.

Mtech were sh!t, at least the word is getting out now but it doesn't help people who have bought from them. I would only every buy from a distributor, all of whom can be found in the link at the top of the page!!

Cheers
Andrew

I have only recently been looking at the MS forum and it is full of info. I would take each problem as they come. Your unit may be fine. From what i have learnt recently there seems little that cannot be fixed on an MS and usually quite easily.

I didn't build mine but from what i have been learning over the last few months i would have a go next time.

Extraefi built mine and is very helpful as i am sure are all the other approved suppliers. If there is something you can't fix i am sure they can. Thats if you need it fixing:thumb:

I had the same problem afew years ago.......waited bloody months and months for it my ecu to arrive. Installed it and it wasnt working right, first thought was that I`d wired it up wrong.......but after triple checking everything and seeing afew other posts about M-tech I sent mine off to a local guy Bill Shurvington to check it over.

Basically what was sold as a plug`n`play, edis ready ecu with correct temp settings and base zetec map wasnt. I gave up trying to contact them in the end and put it down to experience. Their customer service has alot to be desired.

Bill sorted it out for me and the van is running now nearly 2 years later but still havent set it up properly due to other projects.

My advice........stay well away! :thumb:
