173.2mph Mk2 Escort
Stu set out to beat his already incredible 165.7mph top speed at the RetroFord Turbosport Thrash.
The aim for the day was 175mph, and he so very nearly made it.
His top speed was measured at a mind boggling 173.2mph !!!
This was in a Cosworth powered Mk2 Escort, built specifically for high speed.
With a little less headwind it is very likely the 175 target would have been reached.
His next aim is the 180mph barrier. :eek:
Stu's top speed is almost unbelievable, he deserves an enormous amount of credit, and respect for what he achieved. :clap:
What is even more unbelievable is that Stu was not the fastest on the day. :clint:
