I managed 1st in class today, trounced the Ford GTD40 with 5000cc and an NG TD V8 3500cc. I ran a 56.5s. Unfortunately, the class was merged with those pesky radicals, so no silverware, despite the three >1700cc cars in Sports Libre.

I was 2nd fastest FWD over all, only beaten by Mr Deppers Mini with 166BHP.

Couple of people had offs. Some cones are filled with concrete, something to bear in mind for future visits, recommed that they are given a wide bearth.

Soo looking forward to Epynt.

Just got to fix the DL1 datalogger, it keeps corrupting the compact flash cards, so I have no data from yesterdays event. Gutted. Anyone else have problems with these devices?

Well done Graham :thumb:

So Mr Depper's finally got his 16v Bike head bolted to his Mini engine - that'll be interesting to see going round Pembrey :)

That mini is on the Gurston Down TV programme on Motors TV - sounds awesome!

Dad was pleased with second in 3b yesterday, although he hasn't got enough bottle to brake late, so he said!

Is it right there is a special surface that makes it super grippy?

Most of the long left hander before the control tower is paved in Delugrip, so if you've the bottle, you can go as quick in the wet as you can in the dry. My problem was grip off the line in the dry, and round the first corner, as its all full throttle but being FWD she has a tendency to want to push straight on, despite the LSD and ARB etc. Still I managed 103MPH through the speed trap, and that was with the very strong headwind, which hindered most cars through the day. Ash Mason ran 144MPH in his Pilbeam, and possibly FTD.

Martins 16V mini was pretty rapid. The BMW K1 head conversion is quite trick, and 166BHP from a 1400 is extremely good.
