Tidy rigs there:thumb:

mines mostly metal/blues/classic rock, using a marshall mg100hdfx running 2 4x12 cabs fittied with some mental celestion speakers and a nice boss ME-50 fx pedal

guitars are my cort M200 which has seen me through countless gigs and an ibanez RG 350 ex with some unnamed pickups and a floyd rose great for pantera etc:thumb:

Are you saying you have all that gear and you are just starting out? If so that's good. Better to have decent stuff to begin with.

This is the kit I use to gig with. Fender Hotrod Deville 410, USA/Jap custom built strat (my pride and joy... the spec is phenominal and it was cheap as chips:thumb:), Fender Jap Tele Custom. Boss ME50 multi effects pedal and Boss EQ unit.

My band plays classic rock and pop ..when they bother to rehearse. We have paying gigs booked through June and July but will they rehearse? will they buggery. We don't even have a proper set list sorted out. We'll just wing it as per usual:rolleyes: We did a gig recently which was some bird's 30th. I think the crowd got a bit sick of us when we played Cocaine for about 5 minutes too long cos the singer was getting pissed at the bar while we were doing the intro:help: We do sound quite decent but I hate playing classic rock all the time

If anyone lives near me and wants to start a new band PLEASE let me know. Must be into Beatles and that sort of stuff.

I was a double bass player trade in years gone by, but have started playing guitar more recently...

I have a 1982 Fender Jazz bass, an old Aria pro2 bass, a 2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Wine red), a 1970s Fender classical acoustic, a no-name £300 quid electroacoustic and I've just bought a new Goldtone CC100RP 5 string banjo :)

Next purchase will be a Taylor 500 series.

As I've long been a bedroom player I'm not so well sorted for guitar amps - I've got an old Trace Eliot 1210 (4 x 10", 12 band EQ) bass amp which is incredible with my bass and pretty damn good with an electro acoustic.

I play the guitars through a Crate 15w or a Roland Microcube - should do better :)

Currently i use a Marshall AVT275 as my main amp. After my old fender bassman died. I also got given a 1962 Selmer True Voice Treble and Bass 50 Head, by an old lady i knew, worth about £800. Ran it through a cab a few times and sweet jesus what tone!!! All the pots work fine, is such an awsome vintage sound. Also looking at getting a fender blues deluxe or fender twin reverb soon, as i dont like the AVT, has to be a pure valve amp for me.

I tend not to use effect pedals when im play, i just have 3 stand alone pedals, but mainly the amps own reverb is all i need, im a blue player mostly, so no need for effect pedals with "click here for jimi hendrix" or "stomp here for van halen" takes all the personality from your playing IMO. My main style is blues, and not cheesy rock blues, mean propa lead belly, bukka white, bo diddley, elmore james slide style too. Massive Jimmy Page fan too, obvious zep head with my screen name n'all, often seen at jam nights with my mate whos a drummer smashing out black dog after turning the amps up higher than anyone who got up before hand.

The pedals i do have are the Electro Harmonix Bigg Muff (Russian pedal) simply for the sustain and tone, i tend to play just with a drummer and no other players so is always useful for chorus' or solos, like the white stripes or the black keys. 2nd pedal i break out now and again is an Electro Harmonix Polyphonic Octave Generator (POG). This is used to full effect on songs like "Blue Orchid" by the white stripes, you can tune in the sub -1 octave, your input and +1 octave and then tune these too. You can make you guitar sound like a 12string, 18string or even a bloody church organ!!! Switch the bigg muff on with this and its big big fun, best thing is, it works with chords too!

Last pedal is a good old Dunlop Cry Baby pedal.. no point talking about this, weve all used one.

Current guitars are a 2000 edition Gibson Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst, low gauge strings and set up for lead guitar, its my main one really.

2nd in command is my 1962 Airline (like Jack Whites) has origanal Airline VVSC pickups, theyre vintage single coils but sound like a top end humbucker. Have thicker gauge strings on this as i use this for all my slide guitar and heavy handed blues.

3rd Noel Gallagher Epiphone Supernova, Man City blue, that classic 335 lucile shape, two chrome Alcino V57 pick ups, again thicker gauge strings for heavy handed blues.

4th - Yamaha Pacifica 112, Better than any damn fender strat, awsome guitar this, so easy to play, most comfortable neck on any guitar i own, combo of bridge humbucker and 2 single coils. Can smash out clean blues from one selecter position to dirty rock solos on the other.

5th - same as above but a 12 string.

Got a bass too, mandolin, yamaha acoustic, keyboard, but this was about guitars so not bother with them.

Wish list soon, well, guitar wise im looking for a National Resonator, or maybe a Lapsteel, im a MASSIVE slide player, my favourite style of them all, and proud to say im quite good at it too, so wouldnt mind one, also, no more new guitars for me in future, just pure vintage res-o-glass ones, like Airline Maps, and Kay Hollow bodys.

I just never seem to have the time to play any more but have a Gibson Explorer, Hofner Club 60 and a Squire Bullet which is basically a strat body with a tele neck.

Got a Fender Princeton Chorus amp, but its really too loud in a small house so the missus bought me a Guitar Port a couple of years back.. superb little thing for that bed room jammin
