This is the one the market has been crying out for.

A proper 4 into 1 stainless manifold that fits an escort WITH the servo tower in place.

Apologies for the poor pics but this is hot off the development bench, more pics to follow.

This manifold mates straight to our current range of Escort systems and the 2" system that goes with this manifold is £235+VAT

I will have a batch of these next week, so anyone who wants one of the first 5 please let me know.

Expected price will be between £235-245+VAT

We will be doing a bigger Pinto manifold, similar to our N/A Cossie one in the very near future but thats for cars without the servo tower.

Big thanks to Ben at Retro Ford for the loan of 'The Member' to help with this development.

i cant remember whether i asked this before, BUT, do you do a similiar manifold to the ashley 3pc version? mine is cack and keeps leaking.

oh i just read it again, and it says your doing a bigger version. I take it this will be quite similiar?

The bigger one, for cars with a Bias pedal box and no servo tower will be very similar to our N/A Cossie manifold in design.

But a lot depends on the spec of the engine.

I spoke to JEM who built the pinto in question, Piper who make these for us and Steve at Vulcan and the feeling was that under 200bhp then primaries can be 1" 5/8' with a 2" system and then over 200bp 1" 3/4' Primaries with a 2.25" system.

Over exhausting actually looses power and despite what the girls tell us, biggest isnt always best.

yeah i understand that too bigger a exhaust/manifold has adverse effects.

My engine is a Vulcan 190 lump, and steve was saying to me i need to use the 3pc to make sure i get proper power.

i have a remote servo also, but a little resevoir on the bulk head. Will it still fit?

Dont know if I am understanding you correctly here BoXXer

Here's our NA Cossie manifold, I strongly suspect our 'Big' Pinto manifold will be very similar to this

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c153/105speed/IM005310.jpg

As you can see there is loads of room at the bulkhead end.

When you say remote servo do you mean a one in the boot like a MkI Mexico ? or do you mean the standard ford 'remote servo' stuck on the ford tower.

You may think that, but 'MkIGimp' has brainwashed everyone into believing stainless cracks, sounds shit and Ashley are great.

Why would any manufacturer give a life time warranty to something if it cracked all the time... I ask you.

I knew I should have stuck to Anglias......

:)I would like1 please is that 240 including 2 " system ?

Where can i order it please? Does it clear the engine mount in a standard MK1 cross member. Those tacky bolt together 3 parts melt the rubber insulator and it needs cutting back.

my mk1 is concours all but and dont want that mess under the lid. Card waiting to pay up pplease hurry ill fit it for the 1 last sunny day we might get this year.:)

dino, that price will be for manifold only, as it's stainless steel. The whole manifold/system will cost you £480 +vat judging by Neil's prices up there, so you're looking at £564 with the Vodka And Tonic :thumb:

Hi Dino

Here is a picture of the manifold from underneath showing the clearance around the engine mount area.

As number 1 & 2 go up and over the top there is no need to mess with the engine mounts.

Hope this answers your question.

Cheers Neil

Neil

How is the "Big" manifold coming along, will it be ready soon?

I see from your exhuast thread that you don't have any plans to make a RH exit version. For those of us who have left hand Panhard Rod Towers do you know if your exhuast will fit or will we have to twist your arm a bit to make some RH versions.

Hi Chris

The 'Big' Pinto manifold, the one on a par with our N/A Cossie manifold (1" 3/4 primaries & 2 1/4" exit from the collector), is on hold at the moment.

I would expect to see that very early next year.

As for right hand systems, it is something to consider should there be enough interest.

Neil

Thanks for the response.

My new pinto should be in the order of 170-180 bhp. I have a bias box with a WCXM and I would like a manifold that would match that set up.

As for the exhuast I do need the RH exit due to a LH hand Panhard Rod tower.

Is this possible as the moment, if so can I place an order?

Right guys, we've had to make an amendment to the Pinto design to suit the early MkI Escort

So here is the NEW Pinto manifold

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c153/105speed/Exhaust%20Stuff/newpinto01.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c153/105speed/Exhaust%20Stuff/newpinto02.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c153/105speed/Exhaust%20Stuff/newpinto03.jpg

We will also be using this car to develop the 'big' pinto manifold for cars over 200bhp which will be 1 3/4" primaries with a 2.25" exit from the collector.

All this will be finished by the end of next week and then we will be looking at the Crossflow and Zetec stuff.
