Hi all.. a friend of mine has, amongst others, two mk1 escorts in his garden. They have been there for a few years and are in a bad state. One has had a fire in the front, rest of it is tatty but probably saveable. Its a 1.3 S if my memory serves me correct, red and is on an 'n' plate. I think the engine is toast, but some of it may be salvageable. All the windows are there and intact, and the shell isnt as bad as you'd expect for a car thats been outside for about 8 years.
the other is exactly as youd expect for a car thats spent 8 years outside!! Very rusty, probably the only salvageable parts would be the windows and interior (incl dash) A few engine parts there, as is all the running gear (I think).
I dont think he wants much for them, the scrap man was meant to take them, and has given him an old manta gte in exchange but has never collected the mk1's and he needs the space.
If anyone is seriously interested, I can take some pictures of the cars and send them to you.
They are in north wales, near caernarfon and would definetely not tow.. except mabaye with an A frame?
