I would be ceremonially slaughtered if I bought another Capri, this would then involve a modern day recreation of a Viking funeral, with my disembowelled remains being burnt while strapped into the drivers seat of said car.
I think that about covers the strength of resistance to Capris in my household.
Having said that I did look at a lovely ' 76 Mk2 3 litre Ghia manual in stardust silver http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif about 2 weeks ago, but then window shopping can't hurt, can it ?http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Very nice, any more pics?

This is a Capri sport front brake kit, using Granada callipers and bigger discs fitted to the front of the hubs.

Looks great, dont know about the 4 barrel Holley though, i could never get much improvement running one of those, something to do with the vacuum secondary,s i think, and the design of the manifold, but i bet triple webers, and the rare manifold to fit them are mega money.
that'll look ace with the 7" wheels on it!! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

A slight change of plan. When it will be finished who knows, but I'm hoping progress will be made again soon It's a 347ci small block ford, 4x IDF throttle body injection and will be running distributorless ignition.

I actually put this in capri central as well, but I came across these older photo's so brought anyone looking up to date. Thanks for the comments guys! The manifolds were made by Simpson race exhausts near slough. They also did the dual 2.5 inch system with 'X' pipe as well. Running gear is American spec Tremec T5..just a new version of the borg warner T5, but with a different input shaft and the gear stick is in a slightly different position. Currently it has a standard capri atlas, but I have a ford 8.8 axle from a mustang that will eventually go in, once it's been shortened. The final result is to have it looking very standard, but to go a little faster than standard! Changed the strut tops...they were just a little too harsh on the raod, plus one of the bearings had some major play on one side. Actually took the struts off to change the bearings.....by the time the struts went back on, the V8 was in and the V6 was sold on ebay...it's in a TVR now!. Things that happen when you just want to change a dodgy strutt top bearing, huh?
