Cosworth, Rs turbo, Most Jap cars catered for, VERY,VERY good reliable service, they re-built my engine and I am very pleased with the service they provided.
Scott
Very true!
Duncan Pursell is the main man and sourced my saff for me all those years ago. Very Friendly and found me a cracking car.
Highly recommended by me!http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Watch out for ringers he tried to sell me a blatent reshell last year saying its was original and he knew all the history, I first spotted the sealer on the wings and he still said it was the original sealer, luckily after I handed him 11 grand Mark at BSW had noticed the Chassis number was not correct !!!!!!!
So beware http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/clint.gif Gulp! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/shocked.gif
What did you do Clint? I assume you got your money back?
I have just been asking about this on the RS board and was referred here by Kieron(cheers mate).
Clint can you tell me anything more about what happened because I have been in touch with him and was thinking about buying an escos from him.
I thought he sounded ok and he came recommended
Any info greatly appreciated.
SIMBO
Yes he got his money back Sapphyhttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif The sad thing was he was doing it as a surprise for me http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif I knew nothing about it he went up there to collect it one evening with mark and was going to roll it on the drive, so in the morning when I went out there a nice Escort Cossie would have been sitting therehttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif but it just wasnt to behttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
He came highly recomended to me also, BUT he is meant to be an expert on cossies, also he said he knew the history of this car any one who checked the chassis number would have known. My point is be carefull and dont just think because someone is highly recomended that the goods are correct.
I lost faith in buying an Excort from that day, and hence Sharons suprise has never come http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
One day http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Be carefull guys when you are handing over big money !
well the surprise car anyway
Cossieclint,
Didn't you check the chassis number before you gave him the cash?
Don't know you or Sharon but don't lat her miss out on an Escort Cossie because of one person trying to sell you a rough one.
You're right though about getting it checked out,I'll be going the full hog with one when I buy it because it's a lot of money to me.
Cheers SIMBO
Iceman, this guy came so highly recomended, I looked over the car and noticed it had had wings he said no they are all like that but I knew they werent, I followed up the next night and while I did the deeds Mark from BSW was given the task of checking the merchandise and he found the chassis number, so yes we did check it and I got my money back, BUT even when I showed him the number he said some are like that, this number was only half showing through the carpet and there were no stars and the stamps were out of line. HE did know I am sure.
I looked at so many Escorts and they really arnt worth the money being asked IMO.
I'm sorry to hear about that Clint, it really make me sad to know that he would stoop so low.
In his defence, I would like to say that I believe that he did source me a cracking car, and too many people have commented, and complemented me on the car for it to be down to me being as biased as I inevitably amhttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Anyway, Neil M off the RSOC BB is selling his Escy Cossie, if you're still interested. Its a K-reg mallard green and has all the toys (electric sunroof, aircon, leather, water injection ready etc..), it is really clean, 49k miles and he want £13k I think , which isn't terrible. Oh, and its totally standard BTW.

I think now I would like another 3 doorhttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif As I sat in my old one on Saturday and is looking so nicehttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif brought back some good memoryshttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
I couldn't comment on the memories http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif but I sat in a friends one yesterday and I know what you mean, they the 3-doors are the best of the breed IMHO.http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif Yeah I think so toohttp://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Me too! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Simbo, Unfortunately you never know what you are buying and sometimes its the luck of the draw. As you have said tho make sure you get EVERYTHING checked out before handing over any large sums of money.
Kieron
I think that you were just unlucky Clint http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif as most people I have spoken too about him, were all very impressed and happy with the service he has given. Nobodys 100% perfect, ( least of all me http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif ), If i had thought he was a bit dodge I would have taken my car elsewhere.
