At last I have finally got some time to download the pictures from my camera.

These next pics show the large diff tunnel being fitted, this is needed to provide clearance for the larger Atlas axle.

These next shots show some rust holes on the windscreen aperture and lower bulkhead, and now with repir sections welded in.

And the corrosion on the offside floors has been cut out and new sections welded in place.

As you can see at first glance the rust areas are quite small, however to carry out a neat and strong repair on these it is necessary to cut the surrounding metals back a long way.

The new metal is then cut and edge joggled to exactly the right size for the holes

Before clamping and welding in to place, wherever possible I like to use the existing join areas and re spot weld them such as the edge of the sill and bulkhead to the floor.

Some small repir sections have also been welded in to the drivers door step to rectify the corrsion causd by a leaking door rubber, these aren't finished yet and will need a small skim of filler to smooth off before painting.

Is there much more to be done now?. And will u be getting the shell blasted to bare metal before painting?. Its looking good.. Is there much more to do on the rust/welding side of things?

Thats a top job there mate, when i restored my 2.8i Capri what was a quick tidy up turned into 2 x outer wing's, inner & outer sill's, inner & outer r / arch's + front panel..http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif I wondered why i started it some day's. I am OK with Mini's I have one that has been in the family for years sitting in my garage that I should get on with restoring, I have done some work on it already including a new 1/4 panel but there is a fair bit to do,
