Thanx for great comments folkz...Its comming along nicely.Hopefully by the start of june it will be leaving black marks on the tarmac. Then my old plodder will be up for sale.Mk1 1300xl,2 door.I bought it 3 weeks ago for £150 taxed and tested." 2 owners from new.But its been bumped front and back.Pity you dont like mk1`s greg.It would make a lovely show car with a new o/s wing, and new rear boot panel fitted.
If i find a decent mk11 shortly ill let you know..
If any one requires any escort mk1 parts, cars, panels etc, let me know.My mate is selling he`s collection of projects.Women trouble. So the whole last four years of collecting are up for sale. Also mk11 van, in need of tlc..

I do like Mk1's Mark - but to get one insured would be more difficult than with a Mk2. It all comes down to money, basically.
I've promised myself i will get another Mk2 after never getting my old one on the road. I'll find one sooner or later.

Cheers, Greg.

Question....how many guys can you fit in a mk11 with no interior
Answer....bleeding loads when squeezing in a roll cage....lol

Winter its comming back off to get tidied up, injection system off sierra added.Oh and ive seen a pic of a mk1(cant remember if it was in classic fords latest edition) with injection and a blower...Now that has definatly got me wondering..Any one else seen the said pics/know how to???

Turbo Technics used to do a conversion for the 20ltr pinto! If you could find a kit now I expect they would be expensive and it would not be worth the hassle. They usually only run low boost & the internals would have to be upgraded..

You'd be better off with a 2.1 pinto or Vauxhall 16V engine. IMHO.

Hi Duncan, sorry for not replying sooner....Ive been away..
Those wheels on my car are compomotive, well spotted. They are 9" wide. The guy i bought them off, got them machined from new, with a polished edge. The dogs bollox.. They need re-done as the laquer is peeling. But alas.....I cant take it off the road while i wait..
