Needs some mapping work done but it starts and drives very well considering. Also my new gearbox has straight cut 1st, 2nd, & 3rd gears, it sounds the nuts! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif
Checkout my website for more pics and info http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
Awesome m8, truely awesome.
http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif I'm so happy today, 1st time i drove it in 2.5 months, and nothing broke! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
I think you should remove the strut brace though as it slightly obscures the "Turbosport.co.uk" http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/jester.gif
that is exactly how i was planning on doing an induction system when i will be building my next project..........its amazing.........i want..... http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

That looks spanking georgous mate, the pob is keeping it that way! get polishing!
You gonna dyno it?
Cheers peeps http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
I'm hoping for 500+ BHP, should be attainable, probably will get it on the rollers for setting up, just saving some money up at the moment for this http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
How about sticking 100bhp worth of NOS on it next http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Now that I do like!!!
Dare I ask what an engine build like that costs??
Dave, let us not talk money (especially when cossies are involved) - Let us just soak in the beauty... http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/cool.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/cool.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/cool.gif
no....let us talk lots of money......and suppliers and a how too guide amongst other things http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I shouldn't really talk money, i feel sick just thinking about how much this car has cost me, but i forget all of that when i plant my right foot, and when people look under the bonnet http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
Lets just say it cost lots of money http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/tongue.gif, but then it is the only one like it in the world (i hope!) http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
there will be one similar one day....under the bonnet that is http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/tongue.gif
I still want to know what it would cost to convert a sandard Cossie engine to this spec??

Wes, I think I have just fallen in love m8. (No not with u ! but with your motor)
Thats an absolute cracking job and is a real credit to u. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/clap.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/clap.gif
Dave.....one or two bob methinks http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
I am just wondering cos it would certainly make a Mk1 Escort shift along, me thinks? http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif
Dave, bearing in mind that Mark Shead was selling his old engine for c.£6k, if you were to have an engine built for you then you have got to be looking at aleast a couple of k more, and that is before the gearbox, diff, brakes, cooling, aquamist etc.. all comes in so I suspect you are looking at 5 figure numbers all day long.
Like I always say "You gotta pay to play" http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
It would have to be a very sorted mk1 to take that power! The power delivery comes in with such a punch because of the size of the turbo, you'd need the chassis to be 110% to cope with it, would be fun though http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
And yes you are looking at a 5 figure sum for my engine spec alone, i'm sure it could be done for less but i didn't want to risk yet another engine failiure, this is my 4th engine in 3 years! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sick.gif
4th engine in 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
fook that....... http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/shocked.gif
Bottler http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smirk.gif
build it once is my motto http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/tongue.gif
You get what you pays for! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
exactly......better to spend a bit more and get good parts http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
A rolling stone.... hold on,
Buy it once, buy it right. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif (That's better!)
You can have the best parts and it will still end up in a pile of useless sh!t http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif My 1st engine build lasted 2 years at 400BHP, then i went for more power so a freshen up was needed, and it all went downhill from there http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif , the oil pump (it was a WRC item) seized after 1000 miles, eating a big end, conrod, and my crank http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif And there were no "cheap" bits in that engine!
aye...hmmm....shit happens.... http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
