astra brakes problem?

my dad has a V reg astra 2.0 16v diesel, which he's had from new. the brakes have always made funny noises and binded, especailly the rear disks/calipers. he has had it back into vauxhall dozens of times and they only cure it temporary every time. is there any permanent fix for this? i have heard vectra's and zafira's have the same trouble.

As far as I remember when I was at vauxhall there was a few astras with this problem and I think there also was a complete kit to deal with this problem I think it was different rear calipers and new pads and discs. This was about 2 years ago now. Sorry I cant tell you more about it but I really cant remember much about it. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
