Which one is it??? the old or the new??
They arent too bad, i went around the factory and saw them all getting built, and they look pretty solid. Only thing is that they have the rover k series engine which is a bit pants imo. But turbo technics do a turbo conversion for a price and i think it gives just over 200 bhp.

A colleague just bought one. I got a wee shot and they really feel great to drive. He spent a lot of time finding his one (first shape).

From what he said, you want to find one that is as unmolested as possible. Don't be tempted by higher miles, try and get the lowest miles you can. He got one with 5k on it for 15k. It's like brand new. There are alot out there that are kept for dry use only.

He's had problems with boot catches and such like but these are common faults. A set of tyres can get expensive as they come with P-zeros specially made for the elise, so watch out for one that doesn't need new tyres, not that it should with tiny milleage.

This is just what I've heard. There are alot of enthusiast lotus elise websites, ones called the Sporting Elise Register or something like that, don't know for sure.

I'd love one some day! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
