Sorry to dissapoint you boys...but I am a Ford anorak..

2 x S2 turbos (1 x 185bhp Well Lane)
1 x RS1600i
1 x Sapphy Cos

...BUT the Subaru is different, I can just get in it...thrash the tits of it...and not worry about bits falling off...Lift off oversteer, immense grip, reliable, what more could you want.
I HAVE driven a Focus RS, and they are VERY good. but again, the Subaru is worry free.

If you have got £20000 and like Fords, BUY THE RS!!!
If you have £18000 and like thrashing the bollocks of cars day in day out only having to buy tyres...Subaru

Oh.. BTW... FRP did well didn't it!! Mexico is very cool, even though it has the wrong grill, Van.....Never mind

I can feel a debate coming on!!

Spoken like a true Ford enthusiast...

..You don't know what a reliable car is till you buy one..

My mate has a 16000 mile Escort Cosworth Monte, and that costs him money....
RS sir, ahh come to this special service counter...+50%

Sorry Boys, if you wanna talk about cars that are Frequently Off Road Dead, do it in your own forum...or the RSOC site, they talk a load of S@~3 as well...

Crap ones???...The last S2 I had sold privately for £4500, in 2001...Nah sorry...
Handle well don't they...no torque steer or anything...

We can all drive happily together, Jap Crap in front though!

The FRP has done very well, 3 track days over nearly 3 years and never had a problem, it gets hammered everywhere as its a company car, just needs new tyres and brakes every 9000 miles, which are free http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/banana.gif

If you like loads of grip, you should try the FRP, I think you'd be surprised how much better it is.

Nope, they look like the fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, and i think you'll find that no car can just be spanked and no need to worry about it, as you'll find out soon enough i guess http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif

I wanted a Scooby for a daily drive but spoke to several people who owned them and said that the service costs are horrific. Apparently the spark plug aren't easy to get to (as it's a flat 4).

Sorry to say, I really don't like the styling of the '02 or '03 models though - give me a P1 any day.

Where's Marshall? He's our resident Scooby guru http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

The guy who owned my cossie before me went and bought a 22B, very nice car indeed, but lasted 2000 miles of abuse before the ceramic clutch died, thats really reliable isn't it for a £30k+ car http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif He then rammed it into a row of cars trying to go fast round cornes, bye bye 22B http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif He now has a Mitsubishi Evo 5, he says (and i concour) much better car!

I'd take the Scooby Dooby Doo Too, but only cause the Focus RS isn;t my cup of tea, front wheel drive etc. But the new Scoobs are pig ugly hence the price but if you can suffer that then it's a bargain considering the only comparison new is the Lancer's which cost allot more. Subaru are addressing the bad case of the ugglies and a new modeled front end is coming out soon.
