A m8 has got a Honda vtr1000,
the standard rear tyre is a
180 does anyone know if he puts
a 190 on it,would it upset
the bike, would it make it
slower turning and would
there be any problems with the
wider one.
The only thing to check is that the tyre will fit in the swingarm without touching. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/blush.gif

Depends on the profile of the 190 as well. D207 has got a wider flatter profile, wheres as pilot sports are more pointy. As Guy suggested check clearence first. It will make it harder to turn but depends how hard you throw it around. I noticed a difference on the blade used to run a 190 now back to a 180 turns faster. However a 190 is standard on a blade but i am running a vfr single sided arm hence 190 is a tight fit. Tyres i use are the Avons 45 sp pro. Not the extreme they take to long to warm and do not last are too sticky more of a track day tyre. Much better than the old ones in the wet as well.

They are Pilot Sports he's putting on so hopfully
should be OK.
You are right about the diff profiles though,
I took the D207's off my R1 and put on 010's
it use to look well FAT from the rear but not now,
although they are the same size tyres.
