View Full Version : Took MY RS Turbo for MOT today
Failed on 3 small holes that will need welding, rear wheel bearing, and emissions WAY too high.
I guess thats not bad for a car thats been standing for a while.
Its only the 2nd time I've driven it and I was shocked how bad it understeers when putting on the power http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/ooo.gif

Should try my S1 then Magrah http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/jester.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/jester.gif
Understeer is always put into a car by the manufacturers by design. Just ask any Escort Cossie or scooby owner.
I would suggest that the grip in the Puma well exceeds the power of the engine. FF - do you know what'll happen to your puma when it gets returned?

LOL, but the repairs were a little bit more than what I first expected, and it still isnt right. Gotta order some coilovers http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/cool.gif for it, then it will be spot on

The rear end always breaks away first, can get a bit scary at time.
I guess the FRP will be going off to auction or maybe the Dealer that is supplying the Focus RS

there was a FRP for sale on a stand at donny custom show last week for £15k, they seem to hold their price well.
buy it, you cant let it go to an auction!
Theres no way I can find 12k at the moment, plus knowing my luck the gearbox would break the 1st day it was mine.

you would be buying it from a garage so they would have to give you a warranty of some sort.
cant we have a whip round for the 12k it seems a shame to let that car go.
Please dont give me ideas, its been hard making the choice to let her go, but I will be buying the Focus, as they only want 7k for that when its 3 years old http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
