I have a totally standard cossie lump and are shortly installing it in a Mk2. But i am wanting to treat the engine a with a rebuild and perhaps prepering it for a stage 3 conversion, greens, 3bar(if i can get 1) chip...
In your opinions as many of you guys have had many rebuilds who would be best to carry out the rebuild, bearing in mind im not going mad, just a mildly tuned engine.
Also is there anything else i need for a stage 3 conv as i have been told T34 is nessecery by some and not nessecery by others??????
Any info/opinions/advise and suggestions welcome as i want to learn.

shhave spoken to HT before, Richard was very helpfull but found the guy that was going to do the build was not very helpfull and was more eager to take my money rather then supply me with what i wanted, he just wasnt interested in anything i wanted and seemed a bit, well, w*nkerish.
CheeRS Mike, anyone on here do rebuilds????
well i will have to argue that as they are probably the cheapist around these parts they don't bullshit tell you what works and what don't work and are top men
they may take a while to get back your work but they do a top job i only know ron and ray ,roland is not really there
anymore
I have never heard Ht and cheap mentioned in the same sentence before?? Ther must be two of em!
Clint likes Cossie engines???

Thanks guys you have kinda confirmed my unconfirmed thoughts, i wasnt sure if HT were expensive as i have no knowledge of prices to compare them to.
Clint likes rebuilding huh, attention Clint, would you take on a rebuild??? if so vot are your prices guy??
For a stage 3 a standard rebuild with little/no modifications will suffice! http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

I WOULD DEFINITELY USE A GRP A HEAD GASKET IF NOT A WRC GASKET.HOW MANY MILES HAS THE ENGINE DONE?DOES IT NEED A REBORE,NEWPISTONS?IF SO USE LOWER COMP ONES. PUDDY.
