On the drivers side inner wing on the loom there is a small black plastic oval plug
I have been told this is the overide for the fan , now i have briged the 2 wires with a switch and nothing is happening i want to put a overide switch on my fan so i can turn it on quicker in summer?

Dunno about the plastic oval but the only way to overide the fans is to bridge across the fan switch which is located by a blue plug on the swirl pot.

Hop this helps

On Mk 4's there was 2 multiplugs on the drivers inner wing that if connected together would run the fans all the time.

I think it was diesels which had 2 but others had 1. I can't remember the exact reason why they are there but remember having a problem where the fan was in all the time and the plugs where the cause (plugged together)

ahhh ha, so you have to undo the tape on the loom to find it.

It has been visible on all 3 of my RS Turbo's up to now, not sure if the actual plug will be hidden inside the tape on yours.
