I have just fitted new suspension to the cossie, but now have a p[roblem with the abs light coming on !, It goes out when the abs is primed but as soon as your drive off then need to brake the abs light comes on and stays on, Also on the rear sensors how do then connect to the main wiring in the body ??

Any Idea's would be helpful

Thanks,

Alex.

Unfortunaltely that has not solved it , I find that if you switch off the ingnition and switch it back on again it re-sets itself and the light goes out but after you start moving it come back on !

Any other idea's anyone ??

Sounds like you have a sensor away somehwere mate.

Best bet is to unplug the sensor from the loom, and put a multimeter set to VAC on the sensor. spin the wheel as fast as you can, and you should see a voltage. Do each in turn and compare the voltages.

Not ideal - you would need an oscilloscope to do thi properly, but it should shed some light on it.

Failing that, make sure the sensor bores are spotless, and that the heads of the sensors have no metallic dirt on them. I've broken 2 by pulling them from the bores too roughly (but then, I'm stupid, as many people will testify http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif )

Check the brake fluid level and the wires on the multi blocks going to the brake fluid level sensor!

Think I've seen it done by putting the switch in the fluid level sensor (in the reservoir cap) circuit. The result being that the ECU thinks there isnt enuff fluid for ABS operations and switches off http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif

But dont quote me http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif
