YOU'LL HAVE CAUGHT A PIPE FROM THE METERING HEAD AND CREATED AN AIR LEAK, CHECK ALL THE AIR AND BOOST HOSES.
yeah sounds like that to me as well, mine did the same.
That was going to be the first thing I was going to check, but wanted to see if there was anything else.
Thanks guys, I'll go and have a look when it stop raining http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif
It was really nice to drive it today with the clutch slipping, first time I could nail it and see what it could do. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Just been out and looked at the boost pipes, they seem to be OK, its bloody hard to look around the engine bay, I guess I'll need to take them all off to have a good look. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif

theres an earth lead from the bell housing to the cars body alot of clutch fittes forget to refit this which means the engine gets its earth through the accelerator cable which is not enough for all the sensors to operate properly check that
I've taken off the 3 main boost pipes and they seem OK, just over some of the smaller ones and can't find any holes.
I've also checked the dipstick and earth lead.
Any more ideas http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif

Just checked it again after refitting the boost pipes and its the same.
However I've noticed it will idle with slight pressure on the throttle from anything from 400rpm upwards http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/blush.gif but it you take you foot off, it drops and stalls. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/blush.gif

turn the idle speed up http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I could do that, but it hasn't been touched, so I wonder why it needs doing.
Think I'm going to book it in for a tune up again and let them see what it is.
yeah i would, could save you a lot of fucking about
400 rpm http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/clint.gif is that normal idle speed for a s2
Probably 1000rpm, all I was saying is that you can hold it at 400pm, any lower and it cuts out.
