When i unlock the car using my key fob the car unlocks and locks straight away. If i get it right i can catch the passenger door before it locks again but not the drivers door.

With the passenger door open the doors continue to lock and unlock.

Once in the car i cant open the drivers door from the inside. The handle seems to work but the lock is set and i cant unset it.

HELP!!!!

My cossie has a habit of this some times http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
In my case i think its the passenger front door handle that gets a bit stiff from lack of use and when the central locking detects this stiffness(o'er missus) it locks and unlocks continuously for 20 seconds or so http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/rsocmoan.gif
Anyway when it fineally stops and you work the door handle for a minute or so i get no more probs for quite a while http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/banana.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/banana.gif
Mind you ive also heard that Ford had a habit of mixing up different makes of remote door locks on a car which confuses the central locking in time http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/blush.gif http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/blush.gif

If the door motors can not travel their full distance, for what ever reason, they go back the other way.

I had this problem when I installed central locking in my XR3, you may have to adjust the rods inside the door or just make sure they move cleanly.

The door lock idea sounds about right. How do i get to the lock when i cant even open the door to get the inside panel off?

thanks

Tim

Have you tried taking the fuse out for the locking ?
