Heres the scenerio
XR3I cab with abs, xr3i box and rst engine. Clutch biting at floor. New clutch cable, still biting at floor, put spacer on end of cable still biting at floor but drivable. Might be issue with gearbox leaver and going to change gearbox so one with lsd.

Engine knackers so get reputable re-build, re-con gearbox, 220mm flywheel, A&P clutch. Put all together clutch bites at floor. Off to ford buy new cable, still bites at floor errrrrrrrrrrr what is it?

It does ratchet up at pedle and have put my spacer back in but its a cow to change gear but okay if you use revs to change. I am correct it must be a clutch issue?

I have run out of ideas. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif

I thought if it bites low down, it was pretty much OK!!

Probably misunderstood the question though

Do you have the correct thrust bearing as the 200mm and the 220mm clutches use different height thrust bearings. Also the clutch levers are of different length, but should not be a problem. I suppose the self adjuster was the first thing you checked...

Is the clutch plate in the right way round?
Have you reset the plastic rachet on the pedle?
