hi, i hvae an xr2 and i want to eventually turbocharge it, ive been offered a turbo technics kit that uses the carb for £100 but it doesnt come with turbo or intercooler.

As dont know what things go for these days i wondered if its worth buying a turbo and intercoller and exhaust separstely or just getting a written off rst. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/ooo.gif
Any Ideas? http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/confused.gif

Cheers. Eirian http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif

Sounds really cheap to me. But I dont know what turbo or intercooler it used? It may have been one off stuff. These kits a rare as now.

What do you get for your 100 bucks? just a Carb?

As far as I remember the TT kit was for the XR3i and used the existing high compression aspirated engine. This produces it's own set of problems. If you want to be able to tune it at all (i expect you will) you would be better off doing a transplant with an RST unit. all IMO of course.
