I've mullered the bottom end of my S2 turbo so want to convert it to the 1.8 zvh, the problem is that the bottom end i've found is out of a 105ps Escort (i think an XR3I cos of the 105ps) - does anyone know whether this is ok to use without having to lower the compression? i converted my previous turbo to 1.8 zvh and did not have to change the compression ratio, but i know that that was a normal 1.8 LX engine. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/confused.gif
Its fine to use m8, compression will be fine but get the engine set up by a pro before nailing it ?

CheeRS Clint http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif I've just seen you live round Brands Hatch - i'm only down in Sevenoaks http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif - i was gonna get BSW to convert the block cos they done my last one (which was bought off a friend) are they the best guys round here to do the work or do you recommend anyone else?
Where abouts in Sevenoaks ? my old stomping ground http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Mark is fine m8.
Is a 1.8 conversion much cheaper than the 2.0/2.1 ??
I'm going to have to go for one of these in a year or so.

Yeah the 1.8 is cheaper - i think less work is needed to get it converted. The 1.8 is a hell of a lot stronger that the 1.6 cvh my last one was a blinder till some pikey stole it http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif I think with the 2.0 you need an escort sump, S1/2 flywheel (the bolt holes need need enlarging) and a few more bits and bobs changed - if i could afford it, i'd do it but i'll be pleased with the 1.8 http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
