The RS1600i is a lot beefier, stiffer etc well worth fitting if you want the ultimate setup.
Rear Dampers are not adjustable as standard.

the reason the s1 antiroll bar is different to the 1600i is the crash safety regs changed just before the s1 came out and the 1600i one would of failed
So which set up is better? RS16i or S1?
And would it be worth putting the RS16i (if better) on the S1?
The idea of the S1 front suspension is quite good, but teh anti-roll bar is not quite stiff enough. The RS1600i system is better aluminum thus being lighter and also has a beefier anti-roll bar.
would it be worth putting the RS16i (if better) on the S1?
There is actually very little difference between the 2 set ups. The S1 has an aluminium front crossmember where the S1 has a cast cross member in various parts. The S1 ARB goes over the top of the tie rods where as the RS1600i ARB goes underneath.
Ideally the S1 ARB could do to be as thick as (or at least thicker than it is) the S2 one to make the set up really worth it's weight.
