Welome to the joys of Escort ownership. My advice, now would be a good time to learn to weld http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/jester.gif

There no such thing as a bad mk1/2 Escort some just require more "TLC" than others http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
(Andy I haven't been through any welders yet, too busy cutting the rust out, so I've yet to put any metal back in http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/cry.GIF)

Put the trolley jack under the jacking point and jacked her up today, ominous creaking noise and the cars sank back down about an inch, i guess the floor pan and sill cant be put off any longer!!!!!

Rule number one in dave land. Jack on something solid like the axle or wishbones, etc to preserve rusty floorpan/sills http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif

normally i would it was pure lazyness, only needed to jack her up enough so i could adjust me new clutch cable :S still, better to have this sort of hint than suddenly find myself sliding down the road in me corbeu!!!

Hi again mate. I am based in North Notts, there's been no meet i am aware of around here yet, but there is Danny from Lincoln and also Andy (user 'Checkyouout') from Notts, so maybe there is some potential in the future? A 'Northern' Turbosport meet would be nice.
Cheers, Greg.
