View Full Version : It's Booked!
I've pussied around for ages but as I'm having to sell the Westie I've thought fuck it! So, second week in August is when it's all due to happen http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Assuming all goes well (i.e. I pass easily and feel 100% confident on a bike) then I will get an old shitter to scoot around on for the rest of the year and get a new one beginiing of next whilst the dealers are busting a gut to meet quotas. (Helloooo Mr 6.. Mr R6 http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif )
If I don't pass, or feel wary then at least I'll be able to say I've done it - and I won't of wasted my CBT.
So, what's a good cheap first bike. Preferably 400-600cc?

well done mate, you will do it no probs. Good first bike well do you want a sports with an expensive insurance bill or a basic get you going or a cruiser or a dirt bike? I think something like a 600 bandit or a 600 hornet is a good first choice.
Good luck http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif Good 1st bike, hmm, gixxer 1000 http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/clint.gif Learn the hard way, thats my moto http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/jester.gif

Thanks guys http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Mark, I've looked into it and that seems an excellent first bike! I'm not really clued up at all on bikes (I know my GSX-R, R6, CBR, VFR) and fireblades and that's about it. I got a quote on the GSX-F and it came in at £190 TPF&T and £600FC - much better for a first time rider.
Thanks for the suggestion http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
ZX12/ HYABUSA YOUR LEARN ALL ABOUT BIKES AND CLUTCHS REAL QUICK (ONLY JOKING) A BANDIT OR FAZER NOTHING TO SPORTY YOU NEED TO GET A BIT OF ROAD SENSE A TRIALIE WOULD BE GOOD AS YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING BETTER GET EXPERIENCE THEN GET A RACER TOO MANY PEOPLE RUN BEFORE THEY CAN WALK
What you want is a Ducati 748R m8 and I just happen to know where there's one for sale http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
I wish! Possibly not the best bike to use as a starter... http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/clint.gif
