When I was on track at Croft the car started blowing oil back through the dipstick after about 5 hot laps.

1 - Should I be worried or
2 - Do I need an oil breather of sorts and, if so, what kind, where from / to etc?

Cheers

My mate has a Westfield that had the same problem so we put a catch tank in there.

My replacement 1600 xflow did this but the oil filler cap seemed to be a really tight fit - I replaced it with the Ford branded one from my old engine and it cured the problem.

if your going to race i would put a proper breather system on it
otherwise you will blow all your seals out in the end

In my humble opinion you should fit a catch tank with a return to the block or sump, at least if it does blow oil out you will have it going back into the engine rather than over it.
A leak down test would be a good idea though.
