long as you body work aint flappin about and anything structural isnt rusty, your pretty safe, they can refuse to MOT anything they think is dangerous as far as im aware, but some testers know more than others, i have had to argue about having no external mirrors (age related), no bumpers, no doors, no external door handles and no windscreen (wipers didnt work http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif) on various cars in the past!
