Engine has been built and fully worked Stroked etc
Big Valve Cast Head
Roller Rocker Cam shaft assembly.
Has had new valve stem oil seals and new gaskets and then sat for last 18 months waiting to be fitted (in a clean environment)
Esslingers own Big wing Sump
Brand new xdi electromotive crank fire ignition kit - ecu etc
Brand new vernier pulley kit and wide belt
Brand new Mikuni Carb kit on new esslinger manifold includes cable jetted by esslinger for the engine
Brand new set k&n filters
Spare manifold for webbers
Lightened Flywheel
Last time on rolling road was 200+ bhp and 200 ft/lb torque Will be a lot more with upgraded carbs and ecu
As new 4 branch manifold
Trying to get a new paddle clutch made this week.
Needs bellhousing and starter motor believe the same as normal pinto
The complete package is for sale for £3000
I am selling for a mate but have it at my house for anyone to look at tempted myself but ordered new xe
I have a tran x 4 speed box which i will let go with it for £550 on top if it secured the sale

is it the 2,3 US Pinto ? i think so. than the engine is much longer.

It is originally the 2.3 engine then esslinger take it and do there stuff. block length is approx 23 inches from back of the block to front of pulley, but what is your point, i have not said its the same dimensions. it is a 2.7 esslinger. Can Anyone post the length of the 2.0 pinto from the same points please.

you have said is a Pinto. Yes, it is a Pinto, but the US Type. The US Type is very diff. to a Europe Type Pinto. This is all. Now it is clear for me. Thanks.

To answer questions on bellhousings the rs2000 with the left and right starter housing fits straight to it. it now has a brand new starter in box inlcuded. also there is a difference in the ring gear so there will be a brand new custom billet competition flywheel ready next week by redline racing costing £265. this is so you can mate a uk pinto starter straight to it. this is all included in the price.

23" = 584 mm
Europe Pinto is lenght 530 mm approx. from back of the block to the crank pulley.
The Engine is approx 55 mm longer. This is the Diff.
He has not enough space in a standard Escort. This is only as info.

This could be a wicked engine. Lots of torque and looks like there might be scope for more power too.
Get some 50's on it etc and possibly some headwork?.......

These are bigger and better than 50,s already jetted and set up by Esslinger but yes plenty of scope to make a (more) Wicked Engine

:dunno: Have offered engine into my car today and it wont go without major changes to space frame chassis so i am waiting for my redtop being built so it is back for sale if anyone wants it, i gave £2500 for it and i am paying for the flywheel and have also baught a new quick release rs2000 bellhousing £210 so for the original asking price of £3000 it can go. or£3500 with the Tran X

Also has a brand new twin plate paddle clutch
