im wondering if anyone knows the whereabouts of my 4 door 1974 mk1 escort. It was yellow with a red fleck roof. Registration GLL 51N.

Yeah i had checked the dvla site and knew it was taxed and tested, just wondered if anyone on here knew the cars owner etc. Would be looking to buy it back as it was my wedding car.

Hi - no. A friend of mine owned it, and sold it to me. It's lovely, in really good condition for a car of it's age and drives gorgeous. I have been approached by 2 different people that want to buy it already, and I've only had it for 1 day :) . The plan is to store it away out of site and use it over the next few years, but everything is for sale at the right price and if the price is right i'll just sell it this week.
I think my friend bought it off ebay though.

Thats cool thank you for your reply. I went at looked at it when the guy wanted 10750 for roughly 6 weeks ago and he had completely lied about it. The car was not restored 6 years ago as it was in my ownership and i never done anything apart have a leaky gearbox fixed. He also said the wheels and tyres were new but they were the same jbw minilites with westlake tyres i have fitted in 2010. I sold the car to a guy called olly and he stripped the good bits i had on it and flogged it on. I noticed it had an oil leak and a gearbox leak plus a lot more bad rust patches. In your original message it had ?'s i was wondering if this was a price at all or something else that didnt script over properly? Kind regards.
£8,500 Buys it from me this week, as i've arranged someone to collect it and put it in storage miles away from me. It is in really good condition, but not concourse/mint and no structural rust/holes. The handbrake ratchet doesn't work, and the original drivers door lock barrel spins around inside the lock housing, but it hasn't been tampered with it has just failed over time. So it just needs a new door lock and handbrake lever. It's running on coilovers, sports exhaust, 1600 crossflow, twin choke carb, still has the gold wheels on and all the original interior :)

I now own the above escort! I bought it off my brother Burt as a project! I will upload some photos when i get a chance! She has had loads of work done in the past few months as were various little niggly issues, oil leak, diff leak, gearbox leak but to name a few! All sorted now! Running a 1650cc Crossflow, soon to have twin webers, LSD and a full respray of which is happening in the next week or 2!
