Re: Trigs Track Day Castle Combe
It's gotta be a mk1 fezza for me ant, was my first road legal car back in the day:D got plenty of time, although I remember thinking that last time round!!
I remember the gti dave, was going well mate, tried really hard to stay with you when you passed me! how do I tell if the 3i is the 130 version? That golf of your bro's went like stink, the dark blue one? think it was a T plate.

It did me proud i wasnt too sure how well it was gonna do but i was well impressed with it, 130 cams and t/b, cheap lowering kit and shocks and cossie front brakes, yoko pradas and thats it! You need to look on the airbox it will have a 115 or 130ps sticker on it to tell you which one it is. If thats not there then measure the t/b should be 55 or 65mm from memory, its about the same diameter all the way down rather than tapering in to the butterfly like the 115 one does :thumb:
Thats the one mate, was only a touch quicker than me down the straights he did struggle to pull past, and a bit quicker in the bends, that could down to him driving it like he stole it as i dont think i was pushing as hard as he was! Thats on coilovers, eibach arb's, polybushed rear beam and yoko pradas. Hes going for a 230bhp remap next week so i best find some more power pronto :D
Get the xr and see what you think mate then if you wanna rip the engine out you can, but i think that gutted with uprated suspension and good tyres will do well :thumb:
Re: Trigs Track Day Castle Combe

Standard with a 1.9 shoehorned in  Oh and the cold air fed airfilter mod :D
The only downside to the 205 is they like to do a nice donut when you least expect it and they think they are a combine harvester at times too
Re: Trigs Track Day Castle Combe
There multitaskers
Re: Trigs Track Day Castle Combe
I do like a 205gti, had one for a little while years ago. I want a ford though, dave is probably right and I should just build the 3i but I've got itchy fingers and fancy a little project, should probably get on with the mk1 escort instead, but pretty sure I'll be driving a fezzer!!

Re: Trigs Track Day Castle Combe
Any possibility of a cabbie ride with any of you parcel. Extravagant coming and having a speccy (best golf irons for mid handicappers) appears as though it'll be a decent day.
