S1 and S2 Rear Disk Brake Conversion Kit.

Popular Demand http://awswww.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/wink.gif has make me put a kit together to fit cossie 4x4 rear calipers and Disks to the rear of the RS Turbo series (in fact any MK3 and 4 Escort's).
The complete kit comprises of the following:
2 x Brackets.
1 x Hardware kit.
2 x Vented Disks
2 x NEW Ford 4x4 Calipers
1 x Set of Pads
1 x Handbrake cable

The cost of this kit is £360 delivered.

Some people say 4x4 disks are too powerful for the rear of these Escorts so you should use 2wd one's (not vented) !
The 4x4 and 2wd calipers and disks will give the same performance but the 4x4 item is less prone to warping due to it's better heat dissapation.

I am going to fit one of these kits this weekend so will have full instructions on my website by early next week.

If you want a set put aside let me know so I can get a run of the brackets done. I will also be addressing the biasing problem often talked about when people have fitted this to the rear's I am hoping that it wont be that far out once the <a target="_blank" href=http://users.turbosport.co.uk/CossieClint/s2280mm.htm>280mm conversion</a> is also fitted up front but time will tell.

I can cross drill or grove the disks but this costs £20 per disk.

Carl The kit is the same as above but costs £40 more, I am waiting for brackets to be produced now and have 5 bracket sets on order they should be with me in 3 / 4 weeks.
I am trying to compile stock of all popular sets as I have been caught out with availibility of some bits lately and not been able to deliver on time.

already got the calipers and green stuff pads, how much for the rest of the kit or does it only come complete mate?

Carl all the bits come separate, disks, handbrake cable and Brackets come to £115

are they bolt or weld on? I don`t want to change the pedal box, so will a bias valve be ok?

Bolt on a bias valve will be fine what brakes do you have on the front ? and what size wheels ?

13" revoloutions. Front brakes at the mo are standard rs2k. Soon gonna be 2.8i billies converted to 2.25, and erm some four pots or somethink, fancy the cossie four pots, but dunno what mods needed to fit em. I did uprate the fronts today to cossie disks and 4x4 calipers took some pics too so peple who want to go that way can see how simple it is. However I will be fitting some S2 ones asap as the s2 and cossie disk is a more powerful setup. I still think it will need some biasing and mainly because the mastercylinder I think so looking for an alternative.

Yes they will fit any Mk3/4 based chassis like the Orion.

Im doing the same setup on my S2 for this year ... 4x4's on the front and 2WD on the rear etc.

Just been and had a look at your instructions for fitting the brake kit, do escorts have hubs behind there drums i take it? cos i was wondering if your kit would fit a fiesta mk2?
