Quicksilver Stainless Steel Exhausts

Hello

Have now become a dealer for Quicksilver stainless steel exhausts, manufactured from T304/T409 depending upon systems. Some are mandrel bent (smooth) and some are pipe bent (as per originals). These are copies of original equipment system designs but can have straight through boxes supplied as an option.

Depending upon models, it normally means no downpipe from manifolds to system.

any idea why it's so expensive ?

I cannot compare one manufacturer with another. It all depends on how they are made, what type of collectors, mig or tig welded etc.

Just like Tony Law manifolds which are around £4-600 and BTB top spec XE ones are around £4-500 but they do another Clubman version for £180-250. Simpson Exhausts £600 and so on....

Anyone out there got one fitted to their car?

By twin box - does that mean that it splits into two pipes like the magnex. Or remains as one as per the mongoose.

Can he supply a diagram with diameters?

Two boxes in line and he has no drawings of the system that he can send to us.

As for diameter the pipe is 3" with a 3" rolled tailpipe.

I have spoke with Quicksilver about the Lotus Cortina systems, the way they make these is by sand filling the pipes and press bending, use pressed collectors and then tig welded.

The reason they are more expensive is they only make these in low volume and is quite time consuming compared to their larger volume which is mandrel bent etc.

Yes the majority of parts they make are replicas of original systems but they have the facility to make sports systems but this comes at a cost for one offs.

They are able to mandrel bend, merged collectors that are tig welded smooth and made to exacting specs depending upon requirements.

Like everything these days this is not cheap for one offs.
