Re: m16 calipers with servo
It will only make the pedal easier to push, it won't make the brakes any more effective.
Yes, people have done it. Ideally you would have two servos if you have a bias box with two master cylinders, but I have heard of people fitting them just to the front lines. (not sure how good of an idea that is :dunno:)
Re: m16 calipers with servo
i used a mk1 for road rallies many years back, it had a servo on front only (remote type). brakes (ds11 pads) were superb and it would stand on its nose. as far as i know it had std m16 non vented calipers. i dont believe you could have braked harder on the 185/60/13 tyres. rear was drums.
Re: m16 calipers with servo
Thanks for the replies guys, I would be putting one on the front only as bit over braked on the rears any way with disc rears
Re: m16 calipers with servo
:wave:i have a standard little master cylinder that goes through a remote servo then into the little brass splitter:D ,one in, one to the rear and two for the front .m16 calipers and solid disks on front and drums at rear .im very happy with the setup and it stops well. I am only running approx 115 bhp though:thumb:
