Fitting the seats
Back from the panel beater after over 2 years...time flies but shes a handfull and the work never seems to end.
Brought her straight to work to weld in some radiator mounts and a few small bits, then seal her up and paint the inside and underbody. Then its off to a paint booth
no time to waste till we go back to work next week, then it needs to be rolling again so its not in the way
2k primer, seam sealer, 2k chipstone done, next up is the interior and boot
side note, never use zinc out of a spray can when doing anything to the car. the sealer didnt stick to it well so i had to redo some parts one morning. 2k primer only. all good now
tinted the chipstone in ermine white, thats where its going

rust converter on a few little rust spots then primer over the roof, lots of sanding to come...
Im doing it rough on the first go with fiberglass filler, ill go over it with primer and add fine filler to smoothen everything out. But first, lots of sanding with finer grit papers....
How do you find the fiberglass filler? Is it less prone to sinking
Hi Graham, yeah it is. I use it mostly because i get great coverage from it.
First ill do the whole car around in this, get it roughly to shape, then finish it with finer filler. The fiberglass filler is also much stronger and apperently doesnt shrink with temperature changes (which we have to some extremes where I live), and ill use it on my fenders since they are fiberglass ones. Its a bit of a pain to sand and apply on panels, youll see as the fibers are quite thick but its gets the job done. if you have a air powered sander it should be no problem. ive only got hand tools and its taking some time...
I'll remember that when I get to that stage
works seems endles but im getting through it somehow
some smaller jobs to keep me sane
