That looks really nice... Any pics of inside and the engine
If you don't mind me asking... How much is something like this worth?
A friend of mine had one of these, and i so wish i had bought it of him, Really good thing to drive.
Would love one of these for a trackday car, Very nice car indeed
Old skool forever
Just don`t tell the wife
how much it really costs!
Seen the ad now its top of my want list
Big Wing sold and gone to be a film star
Thanks to all who have reply , will post up more pic's of the 200 as well , engine bay and the inside of the car too ...
Mac,
Would be really good to see further pics. I was after one of these when RS Automotive were originally selling them.
A much better design than some of the other kits like the Balham one that used a Masetro as a donor
John
A few more pic's guys ......
Fueled by my huge passoin for all things group B, I've always fancied one of these!
Is it possible to convert the rear body section to hinge from the top?? I believe these kits are made using the original moulds, so it must be feasable..?
1972 MK1 Escort 2.0...1969 Mk1 Twincam Escort...1964 Anglia Van...1982 Starlet YB turbo
Awesome car that! is it two or four wheel drive?
Yes you hinge it the other way its alot of work but can be done , Some kits were made from original moulds but mine isnt one of those kits , this one is a
Mercury motorsport car still very close to the real deal ...
Thanks fella , no they are mid-engine like the real one but only rear wheel drive .......
thanks Gerard
That looks spot on, the dimensions are on the button.
Very impressive and as already said, want one!
How does it handle? Have you ever had it on the track?
that is super super sexy! good rep too!
Sorry, bit of a random thread bump, but just spotted this. Stunning looking replica mate!
So beautifull!! awesome machine!
How nice is that
When I grow up I will have a MK1 Escort
I must be all growed up now then and paying for it!
Hi Mac, I am building one of those bad boys. What did you use for the window door trims? as the Cos 2dr ones I have are not long enough?
I finally finished my 200 rep,
See https://www.facebook.com/Rsretro
And www.rs200replica.com
looks very nice do like an rs200. Thought about building one myself once it was years ago, think it was a kara i was looking at, any more pics
There are many more photos of the car @ www.rs200replica.com
And an alternative with mid engine, 2wd or 4wd with correct dimensions to the original @ https://www.facebook.com/Rsretro
Is yours the Bill Watson built (RS Motorsport?) kit Dale?
I did indeed buy a chassis and body from Bill.
It then took me 5 years of research and modifications to complete the car.
Extensive modifications to the body panels.
Front and Rear Suspension changes.
Renault UN1 gearbox changed to Audi transaxle.
Original dash constructed and fitted in place of the Sierra one.
Very, very, interested to learn more about your build. I have been putting money aside for about two years now with the goal of buying a 4WD RS Motorsport RS200 replica. I am still unsure of the exact cost (but I guess that is very spec dependent), but my biggest questions are; how well does it all go together and, perhaps more crucially, how does it drive?
Great build and finish
Well worth the 5 years, you've got a great car there
