Do you mean a concentric bearing / slave cylinder? I think it’s a little bit of trial and error, you need enough room for the cylinder to retract as the clutch slowly wears with age and not too much travel that it pushes the cylinder beyond maximum distance. Getting the the correct size master cylinder becomes critical, you may even need a clutch stop under the pedal to stop the cylinder popping out.
I was thinking about 5 or 6mm and have 625 Master cylinder
I would say between 3mm and 5mm free play Paul.
