would a mk2 van wing fit my mk1 escort 2 door? i know there is a diference on section of it that you weld to the a post,but would it fit??

Do you mean mk1 van wing? mk2's are completely the wrong shape! If its mk1 to mk1 then yes, just the pillar section like you mention that might be different

How can they be a mk1 is totally different around the headlight and the bodyline is different too. Also the mk2 bonnet is wider than a mk1 so the wing rails and wing tops are completely different

therefore could the Mk2 Van wings fit a Mk1 saloon
