Glyn Stages Anglesey 7/8th November

Anyone else doing this one?

We will be there with the little blue car.....it's the second time it's been out so hopefully it's better behaved this time!

We will get some in car video up after the event this time.

It should be a good rally...two days including night stages on Saturday, and for the first time since the venue's redevelopment they will be using some of the 'old' circuit.

Hi Moggy How did you get on??

I was in the grey Nova (car 36) had a great weekend. Have you done this event before?? If so what did you think of the layout on the out of circuit stuff?

Yes we had fun.......car is new and taking some sorting out though.....we had a slipping clutch Saturday (fixed overnight).....but Sunday was loads better.

I did many events there years ago, in fact even the first ever one............now it is very different and this was my first time on the new track......I thought it was great with a nice mixture of fast and slow corners...really liked the broken bit of the old circuit round the back.

We were caravaning Friday/Saturday night and had a great laugh.

There is some in-car on my competition car thread.

What car number were you?

A few of the lads I know where out. Sean Crowley in the blue 1400 Nova and James Martin in a white Vauxhall Astra Mk2.

Heard Sean shredded all the wheel studs drivers side dropping the clutch off the startline.

Hi Sparcoxs any idea what brakes and setup Sean has on the nova I thought I went in hard into the corners but I was told he went in 25/30 yards further before he went on the brakes. I went over to have a chat (after building up the courage

) but he had to get ready to go out. A very rapid motor

Rich are you planning on doing any more events this year?? Time for the winter strip down for me hoping to talk my co-driver in to doing the Northwest stages

Glad you had a good time I've just started to get over the issues with my car only done 5 events since the build with 2 class position finishes which makes it worth the hassles

This was the second time here did the Glyn last year and had all sorts of problems then!

Yes we are out at Rockingham in December.....my favourite SV.....we did it in the nova and it was fantastic fun.

Before that the suspension will hopefully be set up again as it doesn't work very well at the moment.

I wont be doing the NW stages, I am exhibiting my company at the NEC that weekend.

Don't know what we are doing next year yet...but mostly SV's I expect.

Whats Rockingham like then never been??? Good luck with the suspension setup thats the part I hate (coz I have got a clue what to do

But I've just bought a book so hopefully after reading it a thousand times I'll get a clue

)

Rockingham is great....if you like corners!.....couple of laps round there and you get dizzy......it is long 10-12 mile stages which are very varied.....lots of medium corners and big compression when you come straight down off the banking (we bottomed out badly and burst a rear shocker on the Nova there).

The infield is VERY splipery when it's wet and cold...........which in December it will be......every year quite a few cars slide off and get stuck in gravel traps...don't go there without a good set of wets.....there is lots of things to hit!
