    hi all i am looking at putting a pinto in my mk1 i have found a 2 lt fuel injection one but can i run it on carbs not injection i know it might be a thick question but its not for me ha ha

    Thanks wot carb or carbs would I use and had for the head is that kept or is another needed

    treat it in exactly the same way as a carbed engine mate, its basically exactly the same, you just have stronger rods and block, a slightly better flowing head, and unleaded valve seats, everything else is the same mate
    its not dead till it's buried!

    Cheers for that was in to minds wether to stick to the 1600 or to move to a pinto

    defo put the pinto in, and if the lumps out already, i'd put a better camshaft in it now coz you know your gonna do it at some point probably
